4-3-2014 7-39-31 AMEver thought about running a contest on your blog or social media site? Contests are great marketing tools! Here are a few things to consider.

Who is your audience?
Always know your audience, so that you tailor your message to that market.

What is the prize?
Be sure to specify the exact nature of the prize. Include a picture if possible.

How will people enter the contest?
Make it simple or they won’t bother. The easiest way is to ask them to leave a comment on your blog or Facebook page. You can aso ask that they email you.

How will the prize be awarded?
Will the prize be emailed, mailed, or hand delivered?

Offer additional entry options
Specify that people can only enter once. But those blog about your contest or share your contest on their social media sites get a SECOND entry!

When will the contest start and end?
Be sure to set a clear deadline.
